Workmen Compensation
The Workmen's Compensation Insurance Policy has been designed to cover employers' liability against liabilities arising from workplace deaths or injuries/disabilities suffered by employees arising out of and in the course of employment.
This policy shall be offered to all enterprises irrespective of size, location or nature of products and services produced within Bhutan for their ‘Workers.
Benefits/Coverages:
Loss of Life (Due to Accident)
- Lumpsum amount calculated for 1080 days at the rate of existing minimum daily wage rate
- 70% of last basic pay for 12 months to dependent
- Funeral Benefits (Lumpsum Nu. 50,000)
Disability (Due to Accident)
- Loss of earnings up to 5 years @ 70% of last basic pay
- Rehabilitation & Retraining Cost
- Cost of assistive devices
- Domestic help/child care Support
- Emergency, care, Medical care & Surgery
Note:
*Sum Insured (SI) = Daily Minimum Wage Rate X 365 Days Or Monthly Basic Pay X 12 Months
